Indications for use: An herbal remedy for the temporary relief of shortness of breath, tightness of chest, and wheezing due to bronchial asthma. Helps loosen phlegm (mucus) and thin bronchial secretions to drain bronchial tubes and make coughs more productive. This formula is a respiratory aid, helpful in most respiratory and sinus disorders, such as sinusitis. Especially those centered in the lungs or bronchial which involve dry cough or irritation. Demulcent herbs (Chickweed, Marshmallow, and Mullein) are combined with Lobelia for a powerful relaxant action.*
Directions: Adults and children 12 years of age and over: take two capsules every four hours, not to exceed 8 capsules in 24 hours. Do not exceed recommended dose unless directed by a doctor. Children under 12 years of age: Consult a doctor.
Warnings: Do not use this product unless you have been diagnosed as having asthma. Do not use if you have ever been hospitalized for asthma or are taking a prescription drug for asthma, unless directed by your doctor. Discontinue use and seek immediate medical assistance if symptoms worsen or are not relieved within one hour. Do not use if you have a heart or thyroid disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, or difficulty in urination due to prostate enlargement, unless directed by a doctor. Do not take for persistent or chronic cough associated smoking, asthma, chronic bronchitis, or emphysema, or where cough is accompanied by excessive phlegm (mucus) unless directed by a doctor. Some persons may experience nervousness, tremor, sleeplessness, nausea and appetite loss. If any of these symptoms persist or worsen, or if cough persists for more than one week an tends to recur or is accompanied by fever, rash or headache, discontinue use and consult a doctor. A persistent cough may be a sign of a serious condition. As with any drug, if pregnant or nursing, seek advice of a health professional before using this product. Keep this and all drugs out of reach of children. In case of accidental overdose, seek professional assistance or contact a poison control center immediately.
Drug Interaction Precaution: Do not use this product if you are taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions or Parkinsons disease) or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you are uncertain whether your prescription drug contains an MAOI, consult a healthcare professional before taking this product.
