Pastor Larry Titus, speaker and author, is a founder of Kingdom Ministries International. KMI is a multi-faceted Christian ministry organization functioning as a relational missions organization, a leadership training ministry for laymen and woman, and a mentoring ministry for pastors and churches throughout the nation. Larry Titus began ministry in 1960 at the age of 17 as youth pastor and music director for a local church in San Jose, California. Later he became Youth President for the Northwest District of The Pentecostal Church of God. While in this early stage of ministry, Larry was also educated at Bethany Bible College and Hayward State University, both located in California. After marriage to his wife Devi in 1964, they began ministry together as district youth directors for the states of Washington and Northern Idaho before moving back to California to teach music and apologetics at the Pentecostal Church of God Bible College in Livermore. Larry’s final two years in California were spent as assistant Pastor with Dr. C. J. Lowery of Trinity Church in Oakland. In the Spring of 1968 Larry and Devi Titus began Bethesda Christian Center in the small Central Washington town of Wenatchee. During the first year of this embryonic new work, the Holy Spirit challenged Larry with the vision of building more than a local Church. Larry felt directed to establish the Kingdom of God in the city itself. With that vision in heart and mind, the second year of this work began to explode with phenomenal growth. Over the next 12 years of ministry in this small town of just 20,000 and a surrounding population in the county of only 50,000 the church grew to approximately 1,200 people. During that time nearly 1,000 teens were saved in the parks, schools, coffee houses and teen hangouts. Several of these became the nucleus for a traveling youth choir of 135 voices, musicians and dancers. In addition to its large volume of original music, the Bethesda Singers traveled for many years throughout the United States, Europe and Israel. As well, music was the impetus for original musicals, operas, arts and crafts fairs and Christian artist shows. The city was treated annually to pageants for Christmas and Easter. Bethesda Christian Center established an international Christian magazine, a Christian radio station, a Christian bookstore and a Christian educational system that encompassed pre-school through college. It can truly be said the Kingdom of God came to the little town of Wenatchee in a big way in those years. The great legacy however of the years at Bethesda Christian Center may well be the numbers of pastors, churches and missionary works alive today that are the direct result of Larry’s mentoring ministry to young Christian men during those exciting years. In 1981, Larry Titus became Senior Pastor at Trinity Fellowship in Amarillo, Texas. With his experience in previous years of ministry, Larry was able to bring stability to the congregation as well as establish and release into ministry the dynamic leaders in place there today. During his time at Trinity the congregation grew from 700 to 1,200 people. Under the leadership of Jimmy Evans, the man Larry mentored and chose to succeed him, the church has grown to a congregation of 8,000. In addition, Trinity has founded a fellowship of approximately 40 additional churches in the state of Texas under the auspices of Trinity Fellowship Association of Churches. In 1984, Larry and Devi moved to Camp Hill, Pennsylvania where Larry became Senior Pastor at Christ Community Church. In keeping with his vision to bring the kingdom to the city , Christ Community presented a yearly outdoor Christmas pageant to the city and surrounding counties, using hundreds of singers, actors, musicians, lighting and sound technicians, costume and set designers, as well as dozens of live animals including camels. The incredible story of the birth of our Savior was presented nightly to thousands of people every Christmas season. It was during this period as well that Larry founded Men Reaching Men as a ministry vehicle to mentor and train men around the country for godly leadership in the areas of marriage, home and ministry in the marketplace. At the same time, Larry founded Second Chance Prison Ministry, a vibrant prison work which today reaches several thousand inmates in the Pennsylvania prison system. This incredible ministry continues today under the capable leadership of Pastor Jim Law, himself a former inmate. During the eight years at Christ Community the congregation grew from 200 to 1,600 and today is a congregation of over 2,000 under the inspired leadership of Pastor Dave Hess. In 1992, Larry and Devi founded Kingdom Ministries International. KMI is a multi-faceted ministry organization functioning as a relational missions organization, a leadership training ministry for laymen and woman, and a mentoring ministry for pastors and churches throughout the nation. KMI funds World ministry projects and today maintains vibrant missions relationships in Israel, Honduras, Mexico, China, India, Thailand, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Brazil, West Africa, Philippines and several nations in Europe. Larry travels regularly to these nations, teaching and ministering in churches, conferences, conventions, and leadership seminars side by side with the pastors and missionaries in partnership with KMI. He is constantly on the lookout for new opportunities to add worthwhile works to the growing list of KMI partners. It can conservatively be said that millions of people are being continuously touched with the Gospel through the ministries in partnership with KMI. The lay ministries of KMI today include Men Mentoring Men, which is a Kingdom oriented leadership training ministry built on mentoring one man at a time. His book, The Life Growth Journal, provides curriculum for men who desire to be discipled through small weekly accountability groups. Devi recently founded The Mentoring Mansion, a ministry designed for women and directed toward restoring the dignity and sanctity of the home. Four-day intensives are conducted every two weeks at the mansion in areas of creative home management and vital relationship skills. Larry continues to mentor pastors throughout the nation and overseas offering informal spiritual oversight to those who so desire. In over 35 years of ministry not only has Larry founded, planted and built successful churches, but also has been used by God to release numerous young men into ministry. The fruit of his labor has resulted in vibrant churches, missionary works and successful para-church organizations throughout the nation and around the world. Larry and Devi Titus reside in Youngstown, Ohio where they devote themselves full-time to Kingdom Ministries International and The Mentoring Mansion. He is an ordained minister in the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel.
