The tea is used as a gargle for sore throat, mouthwash for bleeding gums, canker sores, and thrush. Woundwort tea can also be used to help treat hemorrhage, diarrhea, convulsions, seizures, epilepsy, hepatitis, jaundice, headache, high blood pressure, fluid retention, edema, and fevers.
